About The Position

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join and expand our Water team in White Plains, NY. This role will leverage expertise and technical knowledge to deliver design work for water/wastewater clients in New York and across North America. The position is hybrid, requiring in-office presence, with flexibility for remote work and occasional field assignments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an appropriate area of engineering
  • PE License
  • Detail oriented and ability to provide technical guidance and work independently as needed
  • Advanced research, data gathering, technical writing and analysis skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, time management and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Support professional engineering services during construction, including construction observation, review of submittals and shop drawings, responses to requests for information (RFIs), and permit closeouts.
  • Review QA/QC submittal reviews and RFI response comments from junior staff to ensure contract compliance.
  • Liaise with Project Managers/Team Leaders and clients to ensure effective communication on project matters.
  • Exercise judgment on project details and make preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
  • Collaborate with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design or solution.
  • Develop and understand Arcadis services, client businesses, and the industry sector to facilitate networking and build industry credibility.
  • Manage tasks as a project resource to complete allocated activities within budget, timeframe, and quality objectives, meeting or exceeding client expectations.
  • Contribute to the resolution of technical issues on projects and provide technical guidance to other team members.
  • Carry out investigations and analyses to support the development of technical solutions.
  • Perform fieldwork activities such as site visits, construction inspection, asset inventory and plant operations information, process troubleshooting, and optimization.
