About The Position

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join and expand our Water team in White Plains, NY. This role will leverage expertise and technical knowledge to deliver design work for water/wastewater clients in New York and across North America. The position is hybrid, requiring in-office presence, with flexibility for remote work and occasional field assignments.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an appropriate area of engineering
PE License
Detail oriented and ability to provide technical guidance and work independently as needed
Advanced research, data gathering, technical writing and analysis skills
Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, time management and communication skills

Responsibilities

Support professional engineering services during construction, including construction observation, review of submittals and shop drawings, responses to requests for information (RFIs), and permit closeouts.
Review QA/QC submittal reviews and RFI response comments from junior staff to ensure contract compliance.
Liaise with Project Managers/Team Leaders and clients to ensure effective communication on project matters.
Exercise judgment on project details and make preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
Collaborate with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design or solution.
Develop and understand Arcadis services, client businesses, and the industry sector to facilitate networking and build industry credibility.
Manage tasks as a project resource to complete allocated activities within budget, timeframe, and quality objectives, meeting or exceeding client expectations.
Contribute to the resolution of technical issues on projects and provide technical guidance to other team members.
Carry out investigations and analyses to support the development of technical solutions.
Perform fieldwork activities such as site visits, construction inspection, asset inventory and plant operations information, process troubleshooting, and optimization.
