About The Position

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will support aspects multiple project related tasks as assigned by the Engineering Manager. We design these tasks to ensure that project planning, design, implementation, and completion meet the requirements of the commercial and contractual requirements defined within the Poland AP1000 Project. Other responsibilities include integration with functional disciplines and project teams. These teams include Instrumentation and Controls, Auxiliary Mechanical Equipment, and Fluid Systems. They also include Chemistry, Piping, Supply Chain, Quality, Project Controls, Finance, Reactor Engineering, Component Engineering, Civil/Structural and Architectural, Plant Layout, and Electrical. The Senior Project Engineer supports planning, coordination and directs an element of a large/complex project or several smaller projects or tasks. You will report to the Project Engineering Manager and work a hybrid role based in Cranberry, PA.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in engineering roles (project, manufacturing, or quality) within nuclear, defense, or regulated industries.
  • Ability to travel internationally to support the Poland Project development
  • Familiarity with technical requirement management
  • Familiarity with nuclear industry standards, rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
  • Work with multiple discipline projects
  • Project management experience
  • BS degree in Engineering or relevant field

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Westinghouse AP1000 knowledge helpful

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate/monitor the assigned engineering projects, contractual tasks, or associated deliverables assigned
  • Assist Project Manager with all change control processes (i.e., additional scope requests, variation orders)
  • Work with the external and team members to determine how to satisfy commercial and technical requirements
  • Support execution of assigned task and mentor novice engineers
  • Partner with project manager, and other project and technical functional disciplines
  • Review and support delivery of engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
