About The Position

Ethos and Hanley Pepper are recruiting a Senior Project Engineer – Structural for a full-time, Dublin-based hybrid role, with three days per week in the office. The position leads coordinated structural engineering delivery across substantial or complex project packages within a portfolio of complex buildings and infrastructure projects, including data centres. It combines engineering management and delivery leadership with client and architect relationship management, meetings, design calculations, and accountability for technical outcomes, programme commitments, quality, and effective delivery through others within an agreed scope. Reporting to senior management, the role leads complex packages and coordinated workstreams involving multiple contributors. It makes material technical and delivery decisions within delegated authority, escalating strategic or commercial commitments, while building team capability, improving methods, and supporting reliable delivery across projects. The role also includes European site visits to monitor progress and quality. The successful candidate will be a Chartered structural engineer with substantial design-delivery experience, strong calculation and structural analysis skills, and the ability to lead delivery across complex packages. They will exercise independent judgement, manage technical risk, coordinate work delivered through others, and communicate effectively with clients, architects, design partners, stakeholders, engineers, and technicians. Candidates should be based in Dublin or willing to relocate and have unrestricted travel rights within the Schengen area. Ethos describes itself as a collaborative, multidisciplinary consultancy delivering data centre and energy infrastructure across dynamic markets. Sustainability is embedded in its design and delivery approach. Hanley Pepper has nearly 40 years of industry experience and has completed more than 2,000 national and international projects. It provides civil and structural engineering services and is an Irish representative in the MERGE network of consulting engineers. Ethos acquired Hanley Pepper in 2026 as part of its growth and expansion strategy.
