About The Position
Monash University is seeking an experienced Senior Project Coordinator to join the Monash University Accident Research Centre (MUARC) at the Clayton campus. This 12-month fixed-term role will focus on driving operational support, post-award project delivery, and graduate research administration within a leading injury prevention research center. The successful candidate will act as a key liaison and subject matter expert, collaborating with research staff and a professional team to ensure smooth project execution and administrative efficiency.
Requirements
- High-level project management skills with a proven track record of successfully supporting projects to completion within agreed standards, timeframes, and budgets.
- Highly developed planning and organisational skills, with experience working to deadlines across multiple teams.
- Strong financial literacy and analytical skills, with experience managing budgets and interpreting project data.
- Highly developed relationship management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively and gain cooperation across varied stakeholder groups.
- Knowledge of (or the ability to quickly develop expertise in) graduate research processes, university policies, and database management systems.
Responsibilities
- Facilitating post-award project coordination across research teams including contract administration, project invoicing and budgets, maintaining project records in Pure and coordinating project meetings, agendas, and minutes.
- Maintaining central document repositories, project databases, and external communication channels.
- Coordinating graduate research student administration end-to-end, providing procedural advice, managing PhD milestone tracking, and supporting new candidature enquiries.
- Coordinating delivery of Professional Development Education events and programs, and assisting with unit administration.
- Providing high-level executive administrative support to the Director and assisting with day-to-day office operations.
