About The Position

The Senior Project Coordinator is responsible for organizing, administering, and controlling project activities under the direction and supervision of a Project Manager. This role involves supporting and collaborating with the Project Manager and Superintendent in overseeing and managing assigned projects. The position requires coordination of project documentation, including meeting minutes, Change Orders/Site Instructions, Owner's Instructions, Shop Drawings and Drawing Log, draft Progress Claims, field notices, and sustainability requirements such as LEED, Waste Management, Erosion and Sediment Control, and Materials Testing. The Senior Project Coordinator will also set up and maintain project reporting procedures, including cost reports, project status reports, and document control logs. They will maintain accurate and up-to-date logs for RFIs, Vendors/Subcontractors, Purchases, and Owners, tracking responses and advising stakeholders. Additionally, this role assists in managing trade contractor site meetings, RFIs, invoices, and the document control process. The Senior Project Coordinator is responsible for all project administration activities, including payroll, timekeeping, labor coding, equipment coding, purchase order coding, and safety reporting. A key responsibility includes reviewing construction plans for compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances related to plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and structural aspects.

Requirements

  • Two or more years of experience as a Project Coordinator with a general contractor
  • Technical diploma in an appropriate construction-related field (CET), or equivalent construction experience
  • Able to read blueprints, schematics, field drawings and plans
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe or Bluebeam Revu.
  • A solid understanding of all construction trades, safety and construction techniques
  • Knowledge of local, provincial and federal workplace compliance regulations, ordinances and legislation

Responsibilities
