About The Position

At Doctors of BC, the Senior Project Coordinator, SSC provides project and operational coordination to support the successful planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of complex initiatives. Reporting to the Manager, Operations, the role leads and coordinates projects from planning through implementation, working collaboratively with internal teams, external partners, vendors, and subject matter experts to ensure objectives, timelines, and deliverables are achieved. The Senior Project Coordinator provides leadership in project planning, partner engagement, communications, curriculum or resource development, event coordination, and process improvement while ensuring work aligns with organizational priorities and quality standards. The role is responsible for coordinating multiple operational functions, including project management, financial coordination, reporting, communications, documentation, and partner support. The Senior Project Coordinator develops and implements tools, resources, and standardized processes, monitors project budgets and deliverables, coordinates meetings and events, and provides guidance to project teams to ensure work progresses effectively. Working with a high degree of autonomy, the role identifies risks and opportunities, recommends improvements, and supports the successful implementation of strategic initiatives while fostering collaborative relationships across the organization and with external partners.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of progressive and related experience or an equivalent level of related work experience in lieu of post-secondary education.
  • Ability to work synergistically in a team environment and coordinate tasks and priorities with other team members.
  • Experience in project management and adept at balancing significant concurrent activities and projects with attention to detail and effective time management.
  • Ability to apply logical and evaluative thinking to define problems, collect information, establish facts and determine optimal solutions.
  • Excellent judgment in setting priorities, and managing time, identifying issues and problem-solving while working towards deadlines.
  • Excellent diplomacy, communication and relationship management skills, with a demonstrated ability to interact with highly trained professionals and diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience working in dynamic, challenging, and ambiguous environments.
  • Excellent research and writing skills and proven ability to develop clear and concise communication.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently independently and as a member of the team.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with PC based software, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in the BC health care system or general knowledge of the BC health care system is preferred.
  • Budget development and management skills are an asset.
  • Knowledge of design and implementation of learning management systems and communication platforms an asset.
