As a licensed Architect, this role is responsible for guiding design teams through design and technical development on multiple projects or large complex projects. Key responsibilities include risk management review and managing all technical documents through each phase of construction. The role also involves serving as a resource across the organization through training, mentoring, and conducting seminars, sustaining and raising the firm's image as a design-driven firm, and staying current on technical innovations and trends. This position will assist in developing marketing materials, participating in marketing meetings and interviews, and representing the Firm by actively participating in external professional organizations. The Senior Project Architect will also be responsible for developing white papers and thought leadership pieces. Design leadership includes exploration of subject areas, definition of scope, and development of novel concepts. This role requires managing a large number of consultants, delegating work, and providing direction to junior staff. Responsibilities include developing solutions to technical problems, designing and reviewing production drawings, managing record keeping, implementing risk management standards, and reviewing documents with authorities of jurisdiction. While some management tasks like staffing, fee estimating, and scheduling are involved, the primary focus is on technical and design refinement. The role involves developing, designing, and reviewing production drawings and construction documents for compliance, responding to bid inquiries, meeting with governmental agencies for approvals, conducting on-site observations, and managing project close-out efforts. Risk management includes check sets and reviews, maintaining records of design decisions, and providing technical oversight to ensure quality standards are met.
