The NYC Department of Design and Construction, Division of Infrastructure is currently seeking a Senior Project Administrator to join the Program Management Unit – Programs / South Queens. The successful candidate will report to a Deputy Director and will monitor, track progress, identify and follow up on critical issues through the project scope development, design, and construction phase to assure projects are on or ahead of the specified schedule. They will maintain accurate information of the assigned projects in the agency’s database throughout the project life cycle. This role involves following up on all issues concerning the pre-design and design phase of projects with the appropriate agencies and agency’s personnel, including permits, railroad facilities, property acquisition, project funding, and project mapping. The Senior Project Administrator will also participate in meetings regarding the scope development, design and construction of the projects, including commitment plan, alignment, and bid opening, pre-award and pre-construction. In addition, the selected candidate will coordinate the preparation of documents for the project, including preparing correspondence during the pre-design, design, and construction phase of the project; notifying the community boards and elected officials of project status; and interacting with client agencies.
