About The Position

DPR Construction is hiring two Senior Project Accountants to support complex, high-profile projects in Texas. The role provides comprehensive financial oversight for projects, including accurate accounting, timely reporting, and compliance with organizational standards. It analyzes project financial data, identifies risks and variances, recommends corrective actions, and prepares actionable reports to support decisions and maintain budget alignment and profitability. The position also contributes to continuous improvement of project accounting processes and controls and shares expertise with peers and less experienced team members. Employees are expected to take ownership of outcomes and act in the best interests of the team, customer, project, and organization.

Requirements

4–6 years of experience in project accounting, financial management, or a related field preferred.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
Successful completion of a background check is required.

Responsibilities

Manage moderately complex, large-scope project accounting activities, including budget tracking, cost analysis, and revenue recognition.
Review project budgets, costs, reports, and forecasts using independent judgment and project accounting experience.
Analyze project financial performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions to maintain profitability.
Collaborate with project teams to resolve accounting issues and support project delivery.
Ensure project financial activities comply with relevant accounting standards and internal policies.
Support less experienced team members in resolving project accounting issues and provide technical guidance on accounting practices and processes.
Implement process improvements to increase the efficiency and accuracy of project accounting operations.
