About The Position

Skanska is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to support project teams and the responsible Account Manager. The role is responsible for accurate monthly costing and accounting of project financial data and for understanding the financial aspects of projects while working with project teams to maximize profit and minimize risk. Activities include monthly requisitioning, cost reporting and analysis (ACRs), receivables and disbursements management, policy compliance, Sales and Use tax compliance, and project status report submission. The position reports to and receives direction from the Director of Project Accounting. Where applicable, a Senior Project Accountant may supervise a Project Accountant.

The role is based in Boston, Massachusetts, and is a full-time position with a stated annual salary range of $104,075 to $130,000. Requirements

• At least 5 years of accounting experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with job costing methodologies and software to track and allocate project costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead.
• At least 2 years of experience reviewing project contracts, identifying key financial terms and obligations, and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• At least 2 years of experience reviewing Subcontractors Estimate For Payment (EFP) data against the Subcontract Status Report, subcontractor AIA, and ACR.
• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and cost accounting.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office products and JD Edwards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or 8 years of equivalent experience plus at least 5 years of prior relevant experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on an unrestricted basis; the employer does not anticipate providing employment-related work sponsorship.

• Manage the monthly requisitioning process.
• Perform cost reporting and analysis, including ACRs.
• Manage receivables and disbursements in accordance with policy.
• Ensure Sales and Use tax compliance.
• Submit project status reports.
• Support the project team and responsible Account Manager.
• Where applicable, supervise a Project Accountant.
