About The Position
Designs, develops/codes, documents, tests, implements and integrates new and existing software solutions to meet the business needs of the Illinois Farm Bureau (IFB). Supports and maintains third-party software solutions. Analyzes user needs, system requirements and business processes to determine technical requirements. Identifies, evaluates and recommends new technologies for implementation.
Requirements
- Typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.
Responsibilities
- Translates user requirements into technical specifications.
- Documents, designs and codes programs.
- Develops, designs, recommends and implements software solutions to meet business needs.
- Serves as project manager for technology projects, software implementations and systems upgrades.
- Supports testing and problem solving/debugging of solutions.
- Diagnoses and resolves software issues.
- Detects trends and patterns in support requests that indicate a need for code revision.
- Develops and maintains detailed system documentation.
- Provides various reports as assigned.
- Exercises professional leadership by keeping abreast of current trends, developments, technologies, methodologies and opportunities within field of responsibility.
