About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Programmer/Developer with 8-10+ years of Java development experience to support a leading telecommunications client. The successful candidate will participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and production support within an Agile environment.

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of hands-on Java development experience (10+ preferred).
  • Strong expertise in Java, JEE, JSF, JMS, SOAP, and REST Web Services.
  • Solid experience with HTML, XML, XSLT, and JavaScript.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, database design, JPA, and Hibernate.
  • Experience with Apache Camel and Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP).
  • Proficiency with Git, SVN, Maven, and Jenkins.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in wireless, telecommunications, or network technologies.
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring offshore development teams.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including product research, software architecture, design, development, testing, implementation, and support.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements in collaboration with Software Development Managers, Project Managers, and other developers.
  • Design and implement application components based on software requirements and technical specifications.
  • Contribute to system testing activities, including unit, functional, performance, and installation testing.
  • Work effectively in a self-directed Agile environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Analyze complex technical and business problems and identify practical solutions.
  • Document code, processes, and development practices using Javadoc and technical documentation.
  • Estimate, track, and monitor time spent on assigned development activities.
  • Interpret and apply relevant industry standards and best practices.
  • Monitor and mentor offshore developers by providing day-to-day technical and functional guidance.
  • Ensure timely delivery of assigned development tasks and support offshore team members in resolving technical and business issues.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure coding standards, quality, and best practices are followed.
  • Collaborate with client managers to coordinate code integration, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Support code promotion and deployment to the master branch and production environments as required.
