About The Position

Maine Public Employees Retirement System (MainePERS) seeks a Senior Programmer Analyst to join our IT department. This position performs advanced technical data processing work involving the development, enhancement, and maintenance of highly complex computer applications. This role is responsible for assessing user requirements, translating logical designs into effective technical solutions, designing and implementing system applications, and managing projects from conception through installation. Work is performed under limited supervision and requires a high level of independent judgment, technical expertise, and collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Requirements

Post-secondary education in a computer-related field 2 years of experience OR 5 years of experience OR any combination of relevant education and experience.

Responsibilities

Conduct analysis of defined computer-oriented system problems and develop feasible solutions in accordance with industry standards.
Assess user requirements and translate logical designs into effective technical solutions.

Maintain systems and respond promptly to production issues and user concerns.
