This is a full-time, exempt position. This position is remote, though candidates should live in or be willing to relocate to one of the five Northwest states Pride Foundation serves: Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington. Pride Foundation is place-based and our residence in the region we serve is a critical part of how we lean into our values. Staff members in the greater Puget Sound region have the option to work out of our headquarters office in Seattle. Pride Foundation has a 4-day, 32-hour work week. Flexibility to work some evenings, weekends, and occasionally travel are necessary. Travel includes to staff/board retreats, conferences, and for outreach and site visits. ABOUT THE ROLE This Senior Program Officer will be focused on Community Grants. It is a key position within the Programs team and reports to the Associate Director of Programs, while working in close collaboration with the Director of Programs and Senior Program Officers. The Senior Program Officer – CG will be the primary person responsible for the strategy and implementation of the multi-year community grants program while supporting other grantmaking programs. The SPO-CG will work closely with the Associate Director of Programs and the Grants Team to review community grants applications, award grants, and maintain and evaluate the program. The SPO-CG will be entrusted to build relationships and be in communication with community grantees and distill communications and data in order to inform the programmatic strategies. The SPO is expected to bring a wealth of knowledge in transformative philanthropy and be able to apply it to funding decisions; utilize relational and observational analyses of organizations and programming to inform decision making; be anchored in racial justice and anti-oppressive principles that center community trust and be an expert in relationship and community building. The SPO will be expected to conduct all aspects of their position in alignment to Pride Foundation’s values. This is a full-time, exempt position. Flexibility to work some evenings, weekends, and occasional travel is required. Travel is estimated to be approximately 10 to 20 percent of work time across the five-state region.
