Senior Program Manager
About The Position
The Senior Program Manager will develop and implement a standardized governance readiness and project quality review process. The role conducts independent reviews of project and program documentation, validates and enhances the Project Controls Documentation Review Checklist, performs readiness reviews before governance review board submissions, and prepares quality assessment summaries and findings for leadership. The position is based in Oakland, California, and is 100% remote with minimum travel. Local and non-local candidates may apply; candidates in the company service territory are preferred. The engagement is for three months, at a pay rate of $90–$100 per hour.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 8 years of related experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Project or Program Management.
- PMI certification.
- Experience reviewing project controls deliverables and governance documentation.
- Ability to communicate findings and recommendations to various levels of management.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Board-level or executive-level capital project governance.
- Expert knowledge of project controls disciplines, including scheduling, cost management, and risk management.
- Experience performing project health assessments, audits, and quality assurance reviews.
- Utility industry experience strongly preferred.
- Candidates in the company service territory are preferred.
