Requirements

  • 8–12+ years managing complex programs in manufacturing environments
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives with executive visibility
  • Strong experience implementing stage-gate or structured program management systems
  • Background in transportation, automotive-adjacent, or regulated manufacturing
  • Multi-site or multi-plant program leadership experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field
  • PMP certification required
  • Executive-level communication skills
  • Ability to influence without direct authority
  • Strong analytical and financial mindset
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and change

Responsibilities

  • Lead Complex, Multi-Plant Programs: Oversee high-visibility programs supporting School Bus, Commercial Bus, and Furniture manufacturing operations, ensuring structured execution from concept through production.
  • Build and Drive Program Governance: Implement and lead a stage-gate program management system, establish clear milestones, deliverables, and ownership across projects, conduct executive program reviews to evaluate risk, readiness, and performance, and maintain disciplined scope, cost, and schedule control.
  • Align Leaders Across the Organization: Partner with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Quality, provide executive-level program dashboards and updates, lead cross-plant coordination to ensure successful launches, and drive decisions that keep programs on track.
  • Deliver Results in Regulated Manufacturing Environments: Support product launches and engineering changes, integrate quality frameworks such as IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and VDA 6.3, ensure operational readiness across stamping, welding, assembly, foam, upholstery, and finishing operations, and improve margin, efficiency, and operational performance through structured program delivery.
  • Strengthen Our Program Management Organization: Mentor project and program managers, improve tools, reporting, and execution standards, and help scale a high-performing PMO across the division.
