Nordstrom is seeking a Senior Program Manager for Store Operations, specifically focusing on Order Capture & Release. This role is part of a strategic programs team dedicated to transforming Store Fulfillment operations, including End-to-End In-Store Execution and enhancing Customer Experience at handoffs. The Senior Program Manager will be instrumental in shaping the strategic and operational roadmap for Order Capture & Release, overseeing the creation, delivery, validation, and scaling of new business capabilities related to how orders are processed through order management systems and released to stores for fulfillment. The position reports to the Manager of Sr Program Management and involves extensive collaboration with Product & Technology, Store Operations, Digital, Supply Chain, and Transportation teams. The goal is to define and deploy solutions that significantly improve on-time performance, productivity, cost-per-order, accuracy, and reduce rejects and cancels. This role involves owning enterprise-critical transformation programs that redefine how store teams execute customer orders at scale, translating operational realities into a multi-year roadmap to enhance customer order reliability, simplify store work, reduce defects, and increase productivity without increasing costs. Initially, the focus will be on developing a three-year roadmap to transform store fulfillment through intuitive, system-guided technologies, aiming to reduce steps, decisions, and tools while improving team member experiences. Over the next 2-3 years, the focus will shift towards transformative automated and predictive capabilities to ensure consistent customer outcomes, reduce defects, improve resiliency during peak periods, and materially enhance the employee experience. The role operates at the intersection of strategy, product, tech, and operations, with accountability for outcomes from problem definition through scaled deployment and sustained adoption across over 400 stores.
