About The Position

The Senior Program Manager, Population Health Incentive Programs, manages the operations of two incentive programs: the Internal Performance Framework (IPF) and the provider incentive program. The IPF is a financial risk-sharing framework between Mass General Brigham (MGB) and its integrated and affiliated care delivery entities and ambulatory practices. Annually, the IPF is developed with measures for quality, cost, and strategy performance to enhance patient value. The provider incentive program utilizes IPF metrics to assess individual provider performance and distributes shared savings from value-based healthcare contracts to high-performing integrated providers and practices. This role is part of the Population Health Finance team and reports to the Director of Value Based Care Performance. It involves collaboration with finance, actuarial, clinical, and operational teams to ensure reliable, straightforward, and accurate reporting and financial payments that drive performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study or equivalent years of experience required.
  • 5 - 7 years of program management experience required.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver presentations to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Ability to effectively plan and facilitate meetings and workgroups.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and projects, meet deadlines, and manage to schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the information, communication, and progress of the IPF lifecycle, from measure development to implementation and settlement.
  • Manage the project management of quarterly reporting, coordinating between actuarial, data analytics, clinical operations, finance, and Population Health leadership teams.
  • Drive work to create a collaborative, coordinated, and timely IPF development and execution.
  • Develop agendas and lead regular meetings with actuarial and data analytic teams.
  • Develop and manage project plans.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting production processes.
  • Document decisions and create/distribute meeting notes.
  • Serve as the central point person to track, manage, and coordinate responses to stakeholder inquiries regarding IPF data and reports.
  • Review and evaluate data, synthesizing key issues.
  • Track open items and next steps, ensuring assigned tasks are completed.
  • Identify, resolve, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Create User Guides and other materials to support understanding of performance measurement and incentive programs.
  • Create presentations about performance.
  • Present updates, reports, recommendations, data, and analysis to various central and local audiences.
  • May be assigned other project duties to support the work of the PHM Finance team leadership, including evaluating and improving performance in risk-based contracts.
