Senior Professional Services Veterinarian
About The Position
The Senior Professional Services Veterinarian will be responsible for the medical education of veterinary clinics in six U.S. states within the Salt Lake District (MT, ID, WY, UT, NM, and CO) on behalf of Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health USA, Inc. This role involves travel to designated states for in-person education for veterinary practices and local veterinary organizations. The position is also responsible for the technical acumen of a sales force of eight employees residing in these states. The Senior Professional Services Veterinarian will act as a technical liaison to all U.S. veterinary colleges in the designated states, requiring in-person meetings. Additionally, this role serves as a pharmacovigilance, technical marketing, and R&D representative for the designated states. Telecommuting is permitted, and the work may be performed from any location in the U.S.
Requirements
- Doctorate degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Veterinary Medicine
- Five (5) years of experience in veterinary practice
- Four (4) years of experience in small animal clinical practice
- Two (2) years of experience in animal health industry
- Experience presenting technical material to individuals ranging from veterinary assistants to boarded specialty veterinarians as well as group sizes ranging from 10 to 150 individuals
- Experience supporting a sales team that sells a broad portfolio of animal health products, including providing training, medical education delivery, adverse event reporting, and case management support
- Experience with project management
- Experience with pharmacovigilance or regulatory affairs
- Experience in a corporate animal health environment
- Must obtain a license to practice veterinary medicine in at least one (1) U.S. state within one (1) year of starting employment
Responsibilities
