About The Position
We are seeking a Production Support Engineer to support mission-critical applications within a wealth management environment. This role will focus on maintaining and supporting integrated financial systems including portfolio management, trading platforms, and client reporting systems. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in production/application support along with exposure to investment, trading, or wealth management systems and understands the importance of system uptime in a client-facing financial environment.
Requirements
- 8-10+ years of experience in Production Support / Application Support / Support Engineering
- Experience supporting wealth management, asset management, or financial services applications
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and troubleshooting
- Experience with incident management, monitoring tools, and ticketing systems
- Knowledge of batch processing and scheduling tools (e.g., Autosys, Control-M)
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment supporting financial systems
Nice To Haves
- Experience with wealth management platforms such as: Portfolio management systems (e.g., Charles River, Black Diamond, Advent)
- Trading/order management systems (OMS/EMS)
- Client reporting or performance systems
- Understanding of financial instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives)
- Exposure to market data feeds and trade lifecycle processes
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Scripting experience (Shell, Python) for automation
- Familiarity with ITIL framework
Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 production support for wealth management applications and integrated financial systems
- Support platforms related to portfolio management, trading, client onboarding, and reporting
- Monitor applications and proactively address performance or availability issues
- Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes
- Support batch processes, data feeds, and job scheduling workflows tied to financial transactions
- Partner with development, infrastructure, and business stakeholders (traders, advisors, operations)
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to time-sensitive production issues
- Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and technical documentation
