We are seeking a Production Support Engineer to support critical wealth management applications built in a .NET-based environment hosted on AWS with SQL backend systems. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of production applications supporting financial services operations. The ideal candidate has strong application support experience in .NET systems, solid SQL troubleshooting skills, and exposure to cloud-based (AWS) environments.

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of experience in Production Support / Application Support / Support Engineering
  • Experience providing L2/L3 production support for .NET-based applications
  • Ability to monitor application health and ensure system stability in AWS cloud environments
  • Troubleshoot production issues across application, database, and infrastructure layers
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes
  • Support and debug SQL queries, stored procedures, and backend data issues
  • Work closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams to resolve incidents
  • Participate in on-call rotation for production support coverage
  • Maintain documentation, runbooks, and support procedures

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with wealth management platforms such as: Portfolio management systems (e.g., Charles River, Black Diamond, Advent), Trading/order management systems (OMS/EMS), Client reporting or performance systems
  • Understanding of financial instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives)
  • Exposure to market data feeds and trade lifecycle processes
  • Familiarity with microservices or distributed systems architecture
  • Knowledge of monitoring/logging tools (CloudWatch, Splunk, Dynatrace, etc.)
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management)
  • Basic scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
