The Senior Production Operator III is responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of assigned production equipment. This role involves performing routine preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment, and operating the equipment during manufacturing. The SPO III also acts as a coach/trainer for others and serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for process operations related to production equipment within their area, as well as for operations and technical resources outside the department. The role requires self-motivation, the ability to work both independently and in a team environment, and proficiency in aseptic processes within a clean manufacturing setting. Responsibilities include managing equipment downtime and scrap rates, performing machine set-ups, repairs, adjustments, changeovers, emergency repairs, and preventative maintenance. The SPO III will interact with and interpret data from automated control systems, adhere to all safety and process requirements (SOPs, Batch Records), and communicate effectively with management regarding safety, quality, and equipment repair plans. The role also supports Integrated Manufacturing Excellence (IMEx) activities, including Continuous Improvement (CI), Standard Work (SW), and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and requires demonstrated proficiency in current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Good Documentation Practice, automated production equipment, troubleshooting, and Root Cause analysis. As a Certified Trainer, the SPO III coaches new hires and partners with PES in planning shutdown activities.
