About The Position

Intellisense Systems, Inc. is a rapidly growing Southern California technology innovator delivering advanced sensing, display, and mission-critical systems for aerospace and defense customers. Our Airborne Systems Division leads the development and production of high-performance airborne technologies supporting military, commercial, and government missions. We are seeking a Senior Production Manager to lead the production team responsible for several of our key product lines. This role oversees all production activities in alignment with customer purchase orders and ensures that processes meet AS9100 and AS9110 Quality System requirements. The Senior Production Manager will develop and maintain procedures, ensure proper documentation practices, and manage the department’s budget. Additional responsibilities include establishing operational objectives, policies, procedures, and work plans, as well as developing, modifying, and implementing company-wide policies. This role is located on-site in Torrance, CA.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years or more of directly relevant employee supervision, production experience.
  • General knowledge of one or more engineering or scientific disciplines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent technical report writing skills.
  • Must be able to work in a challenging and engaging work environment that promotes teamwork, creativity, accountability, and professional development.
  • U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency, or other status as a U.S. Person as defined by 8 USC 1324b(a)(3).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s/ Master’s in a technical or engineering field preferred.
  • Active security clearance is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture and deliver products on time and within planned and approved budget.
  • Create and manage departmental budget.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the design of components, equipment and systems as they apply to processes and procedures in a MRP system such as Cost Point manufacturing.
  • Develop, modify, and execute company policies for the department which may extend company-wide.
  • Ensure staff complies with all released procedures and processes.
  • Manage, schedule, and plan daily operation of production personnel and infrastructure.
  • Work with the Manufacturing Engineer for the transition of new products into production.
  • Design, manage and direct all processes for production products.
  • Develop procedures for manufacturing production products.
  • Schedule, prioritize, manage, direct, and successfully complete all products schedules and planning.
  • Quote cost and delivery upon request.
  • Assign tasks as part of production process.
  • Train new employees.
  • Interface with sales & Marketing regarding delivery schedule.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
