About The Position

Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Production Engineer at the facility in Ardmore, OK. As an Engineer on site, you provide engineering support to the site as well as providing technical expertise, which may be equipment-based or repair technique-based based that impacts the availability and maintainability of the facility. In addition, you will serve as a vital resource for Operations by applying technical skills to optimize plant operations, resolve plant problems, and enable safe and efficient production of cost-competitive quality products. This role requires conceptual knowledge of theories, techniques, and methodology within the analytical technology discipline, along with a broad working knowledge and experience in the job discipline, to perform a range of work assignments.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering. Mechanical engineering preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in engineering, manufacturing, or related fields.
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S.-based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.
  • No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with operations, maintenance, and subject matter experts to solve problems, apply plant knowledge, and optimize performance.
  • Apply and continuously improve Most Effective Technology (MET), process automation, and operating discipline to drive safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
  • Lead advanced troubleshooting and root cause investigations for asset utilization losses, equipment failures, and unplanned events, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain a strong field presence and provide technical guidance during procedure development, review, and reinforcement of critical operating steps and precautions.
  • Monitor daily process data, alarm history, and key process indicators to identify opportunities to improve plant performance, yield, operating rates, and waste reduction.
  • Support compliance with operating permits and provide input to optimize site integration and overall system performance.
  • Provide engineering support for critical equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, spare parts strategy, and work packages, including repair details, standards compliance, and technical support for deviations.
  • Contribute engineering input to turnaround planning, work orders, equipment reliability analysis, purchasing requirements, and vendor performance evaluation.
  • Ensure repair methods, equipment-specific training, and technical documentation are maintained and available.
  • Respond urgently to plant issues and emergencies as a technical resource.
