We are seeking a passionate, articulate, and innovative Senior Product Solution Architect to join our Prior Authorization team in support of delivering high-quality solutions. Reporting to the Director of Software Engineering, you will use influence as the primary mechanism for affecting change within our technology organization. Influencing is meaningfully assisting stakeholders reach objectives while staying aligned with the company’s strategy and creating a multiplier effect. You will be responsible for analyzing the current state of our architecture, identifying gaps and opportunities, and developing target state architectures to guide future technology roadmaps. You will also be responsible for defining and communicating architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices. To be successful in this role you must have excellent technical, analytical, and project management skills and a passion to learn and teach. You should also have strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Sponsorship, in any form, is not available for this position. Location: Remote, US

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of technology experience; business system analysis, designing products and features
  • 3+ years of experience architecting solutions in AWS cloud environment
  • 2+ years of experience analyzing and proposing target state architecture
  • Prior experience in refactoring applications, performance tuning, conducting cost benefit, risk analysis, observability best practices, etc.
  • Experience in AWS managed services like DynamoDB, S3, Postgres SQL, EKS, Amazon Kafka (MSK) etc.
  • Knowledge and experience with API security standards (e.g. OAuth, SAML)
  • Strong experience with Java in an enterprise setting with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot existing applications and architecture.
  • Experience with microservices and monolithic architectures.
  • Experience in REST APIs using Spring/Spring Boot, Spring Cloud etc.
  • Experience using Kubernetes-based container technologies like OpenShift and AWS EKS.
  • Knowledge and experience with CI/CD tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
  • Experience developing technical documentation to support solution architecture and designs, documenting all architecture and design decisions
  • Working experience with Product and Enterprise Architecture, Business Architecture, and defining Technology Roadmaps
  • Excellent writing skills and a strong ability to grasp and explain technical concepts across a spectrum of technical knowledge
  • Ability to travel as needed – minimal travel anticipated

Responsibilities

  • Document architecture designs, patterns and technical solutions
  • Develop and maintain product architecture principles, standards, guidelines, and best practices
  • Analyze the current state of our architecture, identify gaps and opportunities, and develop target state architectures
  • Define and communicate the product architecture roadmap, and ensure that it aligns with the business objectives
  • Provide guidance and direction to project teams, ensuring that they follow the architecture standards and guidelines
  • Serve as an architecture conduit for external requests and queries and provides education on product and enterprise architecture directions and goals
  • Work with stakeholders to understand their business requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs
  • Collaborate with other architects and technology leaders to ensure that our architecture is integrated and aligned with other systems and applications
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, IT leaders, and external partners
  • Lead technical discussions and build consensus among engineers
  • Support engineering and architecture efforts for number of high visibility programs
  • Participate in architecture and design decisions, and conduct documentation review and approval processes
  • Interact with business strategists, comprehend design impact on systems, and develop measurable business cases that support architecture
