Senior Product Program Manager
About The Position
Ensemble Health Partners is establishing a Product Program Management function and is seeking to hire its initial team members. The technology and innovation/product organization operates on an initiative/pod structure, where cross-functional teams guide products through a defined Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) with maturity gates and a regular planning cadence. The Product Operations team is responsible for the tools and processes supporting this system. Senior Product Program Managers will be embedded within product teams, ensuring consistent application of these standards to deliver strong products that enhance revenue cycle operations within the Patient, Payer, and Provider domains.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of prior experience in product program management or product-oriented project management, with a proven track record of driving software or technology products through a development lifecycle.
- Fluency in navigating a structured PDLC, including understanding gate criteria, phase transitions, and the characteristics of a healthy program at each stage.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams (product, engineering, design, operations, business stakeholders) without direct authority.
- Experience with executive status reporting.
- Strong judgment regarding when to push, when to escalate, and how to communicate effectively with senior leadership.
- Inquisitive mindset and openness to innovation, including AI, to explore improved processes and alleviate friction.
- Must reside and be authorized to work within the United States.
- Willingness and ability to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in healthcare or revenue cycle management (RCM).
- Familiarity with product and delivery tooling such as Aha!, monday.com, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience working in an agile or similar scaled planning cadence.
- Prior involvement in establishing or maturing a PMO, program management, or product operations function.
Responsibilities
- Guide programs through the PDLC and its gates, ensuring appropriate standards and rigor are applied. This includes verifying documented requirements, confirming entry and exit criteria are met, and preparing for, running, and concluding gate reviews with clear decisions.
- Manage the planning and delivery rhythm for assigned pods, including planning cycles and recurring meetings to maintain team alignment. Ensure meetings result in decisions rather than just updates.
- Proactively identify and address risks, dependencies, and blockers, either resolving them directly or escalating with proposed solutions and recommendations.
- Support program business needs, including budget and forecast assistance, vendor coordination, value realization visibility, resource visibility, and executive leadership status reporting.
- Adhere to and enforce established processes and tooling to ensure predictable delivery and enable portfolio-wide program comparison.
- Utilize enterprise AI tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot) as a standard part of daily work to enhance analysis, drafting, and program reporting.
- Contribute to the development of the Product Program Management function by helping to create playbooks, templates, and norms based on learnings from pods and value streams.
