About The Position

The Senior Product Owner is responsible for conveying product vision and roadmap to an Agile delivery team by defining user stories and prioritizing product backlog. This role involves moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The Senior Product Owner reports to the Lead Product Manager and maximizes the value of the product created by the Agile team. They liaise with stakeholders and the development team to ensure the right product is being built, in the right order, within budget and by the deadline. This individual serves as the Agile team's primary contact for information, work prioritization, and decision-making, and begins to influence the department's strategy. Decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding the technical approach for project components are made without direction, exercising considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Requirements

  • 6–10+ years total experience across: Product management, engineering, or architecture
  • At least 2+ years hands-on full-stack development experience
  • At least 2+ years working within Agile delivery across multiple scrum teams
  • At least 2+ years working on platform or shared capability initiatives (vs. single product features)
  • 3–5+ years cumulative Technical & Platform Expertise Expected Experience
  • 2–4+ years working with API-first or headless architectures (REST, GraphQL preferred)
  • 2–4+ years working with Cloud platforms (e.g. Azure)
  • Experience contributing to or partnering with architecture teams on system design
  • 2–4+ years hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP)
  • 2–4+ years hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager
  • Experience delivering at least 1–2 implementations or major enhancements using AEP/AEM
  • 3–5+ years Platform Enablement & Reusability Expected Experience
  • 3–5+ years working on platform-based or shared services products
  • Experience supporting multiple teams or products simultaneously (at least 2–3 scrum teams)
  • Demonstrated success driving reusable components, APIs, or services
  • 2–4+ years Design System & Front-End Strategy Expected Experience
  • 2–4+ years contributing to or owning design systems or shared UI component libraries
  • Experience working with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React) across multiple applications
  • Participation in governance or adoption efforts (not just building components)
  • Experience supporting accessibility (WCAG) and multi-brand consistency
  • 4–6+ years Technical Product Ownership Expected Experience
  • 4–6+ years in product ownership, technical product management, or equivalent role
  • Experience working across multiple scrum teams (minimum 2+, ideally 3–5 teams)
  • Proven ability to write detailed, technically accurate user stories
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize a complex backlog with dependencies
  • Experience balancing short-term delivery vs. long-term platform investments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare or other regulated industries preferred
  • Familiarity with Real-Time CDP (RTCDP)
  • Familiarity with Personalization and targeting use cases
  • Experience integrating Adobe tools with enterprise data sources or APIs

Responsibilities

  • Convey the product vision and roadmap to an Agile delivery team by defining user stories and prioritizing product backlog.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and development teams aligned at team layer.
  • Make scope and priority decisions to maximize value delivery within constraints.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand-ups.
  • Monitor and report on progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement in product development processes.
  • Align product features with regulatory, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Track and analyze product performance metrics to inform future decisions.
  • Support release planning and go-to-market activities in collaboration with Product Management.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate changes effectively.
