About The Position

You will engage directly with customers and internal stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into well-defined epics and user stories. The role also includes triaging feedback, resolving issues, prioritizing the product backlog, and planning/executing product launches.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in product ownership with knowledge of agile/scrum principles and practices
  • Healthcare revenue cycle experience
  • Strong skills in creating detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex business problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to bridge business and technical environments, and ability to build professional relationships.
  • Ability to quickly learn complex systems and understand product architecture and development frameworks.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar agile certification.
  • Experience working directly with healthcare providers, payers, or RCM vendors.
  • Experience in Agile Scrum and/or SAFe development methodologies
  • Healthcare revenue cycle management knowledge specifically related to claims management
  • Knowledge of healthcare EDI transactions including 837, 835, 276/277, 270/271, and 275 EDI transactions

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with development, QA, UX, and other cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables meet customer and business expectations.
  • Engage directly with customers and internal stakeholders to elicit and understand business needs, pain points, and desired outcomes.
  • Translate customer needs and business objectives into well-defined epics and user stories, including clear requirements, acceptance criteria, and business value.
  • Triage feedback and work to resolve any issues arising from newly released products and features.
  • Prioritize the product backlog based on business value, customer impact, and development capacity, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Apply critical thinking to assess trade-offs between development effort, customer value, and technical feasibility.
  • Maintain and prioritize the user story backlog and work with development, architecture/IT, and stakeholder teams to refine user stories to meet the Definition of Ready.
  • Work with the scrum team to ensure all tasks are completed and the committed objectives are achieved.
  • Work with product teams to plan and execute the launch of new products and significant features, taking into consideration any interdependencies.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Provide timely and accurate updates to product leadership and client(s).
  • Provide guidance and direction to the technology teams during the development cycle and participate in all scrum ceremonies.
  • Be available and ready to make quick, well-informed team-level decisions on behalf of stakeholders and the business.
