About The Position

The Senior Product Owner serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring that product solutions align with customer needs and business objectives. This role involves collaborating closely with Solution Architects, Development teams, and key stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle. The products include Equisoft/Manage, a cloud SaaS Policy Administration System designed to streamline insurance operations, and Equisoft/Connect, a CRM for financial advisors. Equisoft is a global provider of digital solutions for insurance and investment, recognized by over 250 leading financial institutions. Requirements

  • Technical Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Solid knowledge of the life insurance sector and back-office operations (policy administration, claims, case management).
  • 5+ years in a Product Owner or Product Manager role.
  • Experience must be in a B2B SaaS company delivering products in fintech or Insurtech.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and prioritization skills.
  • Experience working directly with enterprise customers (carriers, MGAs, or agencies) in discovery sessions, demos, and roadmap discussions.
  • Excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written).
  • Strong organizational skills and proven ability to prioritize activities effectively.
  • A critical and innovative mind: someone who can recommend improvements and constructively challenge themselves and their team members.
  • Ability to communicate, write and synthesize information.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team spirit, tact, diplomacy, autonomy, rigor and discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI.
  • Create JIRA stories with detailed acceptance criteria for the sprint and partner with the Technical Architect and Delivery Lead to confirm logical task breakdown and other details.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance metrics to inform future development priorities.
  • Own the end-to-end product backlog and contribute to multi-quarter roadmap planning in partnership with Product Management.
  • Research and analyze the market, user personas, and roadmap for the product.
  • Consolidate and synthesize existing documentation and requirements into a viable design.
  • Gather input from various stakeholders and translate into business requirements and/or user stories.
  • Act as owner of the development of detailed business, functional and non-functional requirements documentation.
  • Lead refinement sessions with the Development Technical Lead and Product Manager to define next sprint priorities and scope.
  • Conduct product demonstrations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary customer liaison for roadmap communications, scope discussions, and progress updates, while balancing competing priorities and maintaining clear communication across all organizational levels.
