About The Position

This Product Owner is a critical Agile role responsible for maximizing product value by defining the vision, managing the product backlog, and acting as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and development teams. Key duties include defining user stories, setting priorities, and ensuring delivered features align with business strategy.

Requirements

  • 5 + years in Product Ownership, Product Management, or Agile delivery.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business.
  • Proficient with Agile management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum frameworks, product life cycles, and user experience.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • A candidate that thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) preferred.
  • Ability to understand technical constraints (e.g., APIs, system architecture).
  • Specific experience in fields like Healthcare (EMR, HIPAA), Finance, or Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Owns, prioritizes, and maintains the product backlog, ensuring stories are ready for sprint planning.
  • Acts as the primary contact for stakeholders to translate business needs into detailed, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Defines and communicates the product roadmap, ensuring development aligns with business strategy and customer needs.
  • Works with developers to clarify requirements, prioritize bugs, and facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g., refinements, reviews).
  • Accepts completed work and ensures the product meets the Definition of Done and regulatory requirements.
