About The Position

The Sr Product Owner defines, delivers, and manages the lifecycle of products in a product portfolio. Leads the product team(s) developing the product(s). This position may be involved in the funding management and budgeting processes for the products and / or portfolio. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree
Four (4) or more years related work experience
High School/GED AND eight (8) or more years related work experience
Entrepreneurial with a strong inclination towards action, preferably with experience shipping software
Ability to communicate complex and innovative concepts to a new product development team
Clear passion for topics of technology products and an ability to identify possibilities to innovate
Ability to be self-directed and to proactively anticipate problems and seek opportunities
Excellent communication skills including the ability to build relationships and effectively influence across all management and organizational levels
Strong understanding of the SDLC process and the ability to work in an agile environment with bi-weekly releases
Experience with relevant new product or technology development experience working in a fast-paced environment
Experience operating in an environment driven by KPIs where you have the accountability to determine the best course of action to meet your goals
Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.

Previous experience in AI development
Previous experience leading BI & Reporting Visualization teams
Previous experience integrating advance data products into complex frameworks
Previous experience prioritizing backlogs across competing enterprise priorities
Previous experience working cross-functionally across multiple lines of business
Knowledge of the following technologies: Google Analytics, AWS, Salesforce, Confluence, JIRA
7 or more years working in the utility industry
Experience as a Senior Product Analyst
Agile Product Owner certification
"Black Belt" Six Sigma certification
Experience with Jira

Responsibilities

Defines and manages product roadmap
Build, groom and prioritize the product backlog, continuously managing expectations with relevant stakeholders – including the senior leadership team
Manage the sprint planning process and participate in all relevant ceremonies (reviews of prior sprints, grooming, retrospectives, etc.)
Develop a deep contextual understanding of our customer, worker and user needs
Gather market feedback through user interactions, focus groups, and by performing industry research to support future development
Write detailed functional specifications, user stories and product documentation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams of developers, designers and analysts to implement and deliver new products and features
Collaborate with the organization on vision, strategy, decisioning, tactical execution, and measurement systems
Communicate roadmap stages and timelines internally with key stakeholders
