Senior Product Manager

AmpliworkMontreal, QC

About The Position

The Mission: You will be the single point of accountability for two to four client engagements at a time. A typical engagement involves scoping the problem with the client, diagnosing their actual needs, writing and pitching proposals, closing the next phase, and building the first working prototype yourself, often within the first week. You will run the project, owning the plan, timeline, milestones, risks, and status, ensuring clients and internal stakeholders are kept informed. You will bring in engineers when the project graduates from prototype to production, lead them, and stay accountable for delivery. You will run workshops, demos, and iteration sessions with the client, keeping the loop tight. The role involves design work, project management, and a meaningful amount of coding, prototyping enough for engineers to know exactly what to build. What you'll do: Be AI-native, thinking in AI rather than just using it. Utilize tools like Claude, Cursor, and modern agent frameworks for reasoning, building, writing, and problem-solving. Be the go-to person for AI expertise, sharing prompts, workflows, and shortcuts to raise the floor for colleagues. Be extremely organized, capable of managing multiple engagements simultaneously without anything slipping. Possess a strong bias for action, starting tasks without being told and prioritizing shipping rough versions quickly. Have high social energy and sharp judgment, getting energy from people, reading rooms quickly, and knowing when to push, listen, lighten the mood, or hold the line. Be an excellent communicator, both in writing and speaking, creating presentations that persuade. Be a creative problem solver, seeing multiple solutions to ambiguous problems and preferring to start from a blank page. Be able to sell by listening for real needs, framing solutions, and asking for the close, running scoping calls, workshops, and pitches. Be able to prototype working solutions within a week using modern AI tools, even if not yet a production-grade engineer. Be energized by the breadth of the role, wanting the whole arc of work, not just a slice.
