About The Position

LinkedIn is hiring a Senior Product Manager for its Career Agents team in the talent marketplace. The team is building an agent that supports members across their careers by learning who they are and what they want, finding relevant opportunities, surfacing helpful connections, and taking next steps with them. The role owns a core part of the agent’s product experience and is accountable for whether it works for members. The Product Manager will work closely with AI and ML engineers, designers, and researchers, shipping iterations weekly. The work location is hybrid, performed both from home and a LinkedIn office on select days according to team business needs. The role can be based in San Francisco or Sunnyvale, California.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience in product management or an equivalent role.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience building agents or LLM-powered products and shipping them to real users.
  • Deep experience with evaluations, including building evaluation sets and rubrics, analyzing errors, and using results to drive product decisions.
  • Strong understanding of how agents work, including tool use, planning, memory and context management, and common failure modes.
  • Strong instincts for human-in-the-loop design and building member trust in automated actions.
  • Comfort prototyping with LLMs, such as prompting, light scripting, and testing new models.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort making data-driven decisions.
  • Experience working on consumer products at scale.
  • Ability to collaborate and lead across multiple partner teams, with strong systems thinking.
  • Experience in jobs, hiring, or careers is a plus, but not a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the assigned area of the agent, grounded in member needs and LinkedIn’s distinctive capabilities.
  • Own product quality end to end by defining quality standards, building evaluation sets and rubrics with AI engineers, reviewing traces, and running improvement cycles until metrics improve.
  • Shape the agent harness with engineering, including its tools and skills, multi-step task planning, and use of memory and context across sessions.
  • Design for trust by deciding when the agent acts independently or asks the member, and how members can view, correct, and approve its actions.
  • Prototype with new models and techniques, put working versions in front of members quickly, and use findings to decide what to build, remove, or expand.
  • Make data-driven decisions using information from multiple sources, including evaluations, member research, and product metrics.
  • Partner across product, engineering, AI, design, and legal to ship valuable, simple, and safe agent experiences.
  • Generate buy-in and excitement among key stakeholders and executives across LinkedIn.
  • Contribute to a team culture focused on high-velocity decision-making, deep care, and learning.
