Senior Product Manager

Schema AppGuelph, ON
CA$105,000 - CA$125,000

About The Position

Schema App is seeking a Senior Product Manager to drive innovation and growth by bringing execution discipline to product development and launch processes. This role involves driving adoption of product frameworks, leading change across teams, and executing go-to-market initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B SaaS, preferably in a startup to scale-up environment, and will contribute to evolving product development to be more systematic, scalable, and customer-driven. The Senior Product Manager will play a key role in leading this evolution and making a significant impact.

Requirements

  • Experience in B2B SaaS, ideally in a startup through scale-up environment—or evidence of equivalent experience and impact.
  • Ability to execute sprint planning, backlog grooming and refinement, and release cadence in direct partnership with Engineering.
  • Ability to discover and translate customer needs into clear, actionable user stories.
  • Ability to lead user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate release readiness.
  • Ability to apply roadmap and prioritization framework to real decisions, grounding tradeoffs in usage data, customer feedback, and business impact.
  • Ability to make tradeoffs explicit and defensible to stakeholders, balancing customer value, market trends, and strategic goals.
  • Ability to build and maintain a first-hand understanding of Schema App’s users, customers, and competitive market.
  • Ability to partner with Marketing and Customer Success to apply Schema App’s GTM playbook to successful launches.
  • Ability to use AI copilots and agentic tools to work faster and more effectively, with clear judgment about what to verify versus trust.
  • Ability to bring a working understanding of how AI answer engines and autonomous agents retrieve and act on structured content.
  • Ability to communicate the roadmap and releases clearly and effectively to internal stakeholders and external audiences.
  • Ability to act as a key partner in rolling out and driving day-to-day adoption of the frameworks introduced by the Product Community of Practice.
  • Drives day-to-day adoption of frameworks designed by the Head of Product and Product Community of Practice — including sprint rituals, backlog hygiene, and GTM playbooks — modeling and coaching consistently rather than reinventing them locally or letting them lapse under pressure.
  • Breaks work into small, shippable increments and validates them with real customers and users along the way — adjusting the next increment based on what’s learned rather than delivering large, fully specified releases in one batch.
  • Personally uses AI copilots and agentic tools to work faster, with clear judgment about what to verify versus trust.
  • Understands how AI answer engines and agents retrieve and act on structured content, and applies that understanding to prioritization and positioning decisions.
  • Anticipates market needs, identifies competitive advantages, and aligns product strategy with business goals and long-term relevance.
  • Uses adoption metrics, customer behavior, and usage trends as the foundation for prioritization, defining success criteria and measuring impact.
  • Builds strong relationships across Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success; communicates transparently and handles competing priorities diplomatically.
  • Actively listens to customer feedback and user research, translating it into product improvements that resonate.
  • Understands technical tradeoffs well enough to have meaningful architecture and feasibility discussions with Engineering.

Nice To Haves

  • Curious, ambitious, and always looking for ways to improve — whether that’s evolving how we build products, learning from customers and data, or experimenting with new AI and agentic tools.
  • Comfortable adapting as the market, our product practices, and Schema App continue to evolve.
  • Turns ambiguity into action.
  • Uses data, customer insight, AI tools, and the expertise around you to make informed decisions, solve problems, and keep work moving — without waiting for perfect information or perfect conditions.
  • Builds strong partnerships with Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, and other teams, bringing people along through change and creating shared ownership of product decisions, launches, and outcomes.
  • Brings strong product judgment without assuming you have all the answers.
  • Listens to customers, users, and teammates, makes your thinking transparent, seeks out evidence that challenges your assumptions, and changes course when what you learn points to a better path.

Responsibilities

  • Execute sprint planning, backlog grooming and refinement, and release cadence in direct partnership with Engineering.
  • Discover and translate customer needs into clear, actionable user stories, and lead user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate release readiness.
  • Apply the roadmap and prioritization framework to real decisions, grounding tradeoffs in usage data, customer feedback, and business impact.
  • Make tradeoffs explicit and defensible to stakeholders, balancing customer value, market trends, and strategic goals.
  • Build and maintain a first-hand understanding of Schema App’s users, customers, and competitive market, including how AI search and agentic experiences are reshaping the category.
  • Bring understanding into roadmap, prioritization, and go-to-market (GTM) conversations as concrete evidence, not assumption.
  • Partner with Marketing and Customer Success to apply Schema App’s GTM playbook to successful launches, including positioning, launch plans, Sales and CSM enablement, and adoption tracking.
  • Adapt the GTM playbook to context and identify where it needs to evolve.
  • Use AI copilots and agentic tools to work faster and more effectively, with clear judgment about what to verify versus trust.
  • Bring a working understanding of how AI answer engines and autonomous agents retrieve and act on structured content.
  • Communicate the roadmap and releases clearly and effectively to internal stakeholders and external audiences, including through webinars and customer-facing updates.
  • Act as a key partner in rolling out and driving day-to-day adoption of the frameworks introduced by the Product Community of Practice.
  • Model frameworks consistently, coach Engineering and cross-functional partners through the change, and surface ground-level feedback that informs how those frameworks are refined.
