Senior Product Manager

About The Position

LiveX AI is hiring a Senior Product Manager to own and improve the end-to-end customer experience across its hardware and software products. The experience spans a passerby noticing a device through receiving an answer to their question. The product is already live with customers, and the role focuses on identifying gaps between what ships and what should ship, setting quality standards, prioritizing improvements, and driving polished launches. The product combines hardware—including screens, cameras, microphones, speakers, mounting, and installation—with software such as character, conversation, touch and voice interfaces, 3D content, the enterprise AI agent, and the admin portal. The Senior Product Manager works directly with the CEO, who owns product, and with the founders leading AI and engineering. The position is based in Palo Alto and requires working on-site.

Requirements

  • 4–8 years of product management experience, including several years working on hardware-plus-software products such as devices, kiosks, robotics, consumer electronics, or in-venue technology.
  • Early-stage startup experience from seed to Series B, at a company with under approximately 50 people, owning a product end to end without a product team behind you.
  • Track record of taking products from working to polished, where quality rather than scope was the deliverable.
  • Product judgment for walk-up physical experiences using touch, voice, and large screens in public spaces.
  • Experience with AI or conversational products and a clear method for measuring quality in probabilistic systems.
  • Ability to write clear specifications, acceptance criteria, and readiness checklists, and to work from logs, metrics, and dashboards.
  • Field orientation, including personally running site acceptance in stores, lobbies, or stadiums.
  • Credibility with engineers and designers, with sufficient technical understanding to debate tradeoffs and design literacy to judge finished work.
  • Hands-on use of AI tools in your own work, including analysis, prototyping, or writing.
  • Proactive approach: spots gaps before others report them, proposes fixes, and drives them forward without being asked.
  • Ownership and a clear point of view on what the product should be.
  • Ability to work on-site in Palo Alto and live in or relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.

Nice To Haves

  • Strongly preferred: launch or quality ownership for a hardware-plus-software product deployed at scale in retail, hospitality, healthcare, or venues, especially across many sites.
  • Experience with digital human, avatar, voice assistant, or conversational AI products.
  • Hardware program experience, including build validation, manufacturing partners, installation, or field service.
  • End-to-end product ownership in a startup or small team.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end experience across hardware and software as one product.
  • Set measurable experience quality standards for each journey step, including response latency, recognition accuracy, conversation completion, uptime, and installation time.
  • Identify product gaps by visiting live deployments, running walk-up tests, reviewing conversation logs and customer feedback, and auditing new builds; maintain a ranked list of issues and missing capabilities.
  • Prioritize fixes by building a sequenced roadmap and balancing fixes, polish, and new features using field evidence.
  • Drive design and engineering delivery by writing specifications and acceptance criteria, running product reviews, removing blockers, and maintaining a high quality bar.
  • Drive launch readiness for releases and customer go-lives through readiness checklists, go/no-go decisions, on-site or remote acceptance, day-one monitoring, and post-launch fixes; sign off before releases reach customer floors.
  • Work with sales, deployment, and customer success to turn field issues into product fixes and communicate fixes to customers.
  • Represent the user across all five layers of the product stack.
