Senior Product Manager

Charta Health•San Francisco, CA
•$200,000 - $250,000•Onsite

About The Position

Charta Health is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own platform capabilities end-to-end. This role focuses on turning bespoke, one-off work into durable, reusable platform components, including external abstractions for customers and internal tooling for the engineering team. The Senior Product Manager will work closely with software engineers, deployment strategists, sales, and customers to define requirements, prioritize effectively, and ensure that solutions built for one customer can be leveraged for others. This role requires strong judgment in determining which problems to solve at a platform level and which to handle as customizations, with a focus on architectural tradeoffs and attention to detail. The primary goal is to scale the platform to support hundreds and thousands of customers without a linear increase in engineering and deployment effort.

Requirements

  • 3–8 years in product management, ideally with real ownership of platform, API, or integrations work, not just feature or growth product
  • A track record of shipping, owning platform or infrastructure work and driving it to outcomes, not just strategy decks
  • Proven ability to translate customer complexity into modular, reusable systems rather than repeated bespoke builds
  • Strong technical fluency to collaborate deeply with engineers on real architecture and system tradeoffs
  • Comfort operating in a genuinely fast-moving, ambiguous environment, ideally with prior exposure to a company scaling quickly
  • Clear communication and the judgment to prioritize well under ambiguity
  • Bias for action and ownership; thrives in ambiguity and drives clarity through structured thinking

Nice To Haves

  • Do the work. You're energized by the day-to-day craft of product, not just the vision.
  • Turn ambiguity into clarity. You translate customer signals into clear direction and prioritize what matters.
  • Build systems. You think in systems and abstractions, not one-offs, and design for leverage that scales across customers and teams.
  • Partner well. You navigate technical and strategic discussions across engineering, deployment, and GTM with confidence.

Responsibilities

  • Own our platform and integrations roadmap from requirements through launch and iteration
  • Deeply understand the technical landscape we're integrating into: the legacy systems, data formats, and workflows our customers already run on
  • Build the map to get us there, and drive engineering toward it
  • Build the right abstractions and APIs so the product scales cleanly to hundreds and eventually thousands of customers, instead of bespoke work piling up
  • Partner daily with engineering and deployment strategists to turn each customer's custom build into durable, reusable platform capability
  • Evaluate build-vs-buy and build-vs-partner tradeoffs for internal tooling and infrastructure, not just customer-facing features
  • Turn integration and scalability patterns into clear, prioritized specs
  • Define and maintain the technical standards that keep engineering, deployment, and leadership aligned
  • Make sharp prioritization calls between platform investment and one-off customer needs, and keep the team focused on the right things

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, and more
  • Team dinners and snacks in the office to keep you at your best
  • Growth opportunities in a fast-paced, innovative tech startup
  • Ongoing professional development and access to cutting-edge AI and healthcare tools
  • Wellness & learning stipends so you can invest in both your health and personal growth
  • Annual performance based bonus up to 30%
