About The Position

Pennylane is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join their team and contribute to their mission of becoming the most beloved financial Operating System for French and European SMEs and Accounting Firms. This role is crucial for the company's product-led growth strategy. The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for understanding user needs through continuous discovery, defining OKRs and roadmaps, and collaborating closely with Product Designers and engineers to deliver impactful solutions. The role involves working in a fast-growing Fintech environment with a strong remote-friendly culture and a significant customer base in France.

Requirements

Strong user research skills and Product sense: ability to develop a strong conviction about user needs and problems based on user feedback (from all types of sources).
Strong & structured communication skills to convince and get buy in on their vision, embark/drive the squad, build relationships with commercial teams, talk to users regularly.
Ability to navigate and simplify complex problems (understand, vulgarize, break problems into small pieces).
Hands-on and not afraid to step out of the traditional product role to make the product succeed (working on Educational content, and enablement if needed).
Past experience in Product management at a scale up or large tech company is required (ideally a company with a strong product culture).
Curiosity about accounting and comfort with complexity.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with accounting is not required, but a generalist profile is okay as long as they are curious about accounting and comfortable with complexity.

Responsibilities

Continuously discover users and their pain points through interviews, user research, and data analysis.
Define OKRs and roadmaps based on user insights and company objectives.
Collaborate with a dedicated Product Designer and a team of Product-centered engineers.
Implement solutions using an MVP approach and follow up on implementation and future iterations.
Contribute to achieving common goals, prioritizing impact over just building features.
Recruit and mentor new Product Managers as the team grows.
Take on increased responsibilities in project leadership.
Contribute to thinking about and implementing new processes, tools, and best practices.
