About The Position

The Senior Product Manager will oversee the strategic development and management of product lines at Stephen Joseph Companies, including children’s clothing, personalized merchandise, and homeware. This role involves driving product strategy, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful execution of product initiatives from concept through launch. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in product management, excellent leadership skills, and a strong understanding of market trends and consumer needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Product Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on consumer goods, retail, or wholesale preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing product lines and driving product strategy from concept to launch.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market trends, sales data, and customer feedback to make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with product management software or project management tools is a plus.
  • Experience with market research, product pricing, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Passion for product development and a keen understanding of consumer preferences, particularly in children’s products, housewares, or personalized merchandise.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the product roadmap, aligning product initiatives with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle, from concept and design to production and go-to-market strategy.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and inform product decisions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, marketing, production, and sales, to ensure successful product launches.
  • Define product requirements, specifications, and pricing strategies, ensuring alignment with customer needs and brand objectives.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain and sourcing teams to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective production of products.
  • Analyze product performance and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement or new product development opportunities.
  • Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track product performance, including sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior product managers and other team members.
  • Coordinate product training sessions for internal teams to ensure proper product knowledge and sales enablement.
  • Prepare and present product strategies, updates, and reports to senior management.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and consumer behavior to ensure that products remain competitive.
