About The Position

GDIT is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead product strategy, execution, and optimization in an Agile environment. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Agile methodologies, a proven ability to define product vision, manage the product lifecycle, and drive large-scale initiatives. This role requires close collaboration with external stakeholders, leadership, and technical teams to ensure business value delivery and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in product management within an Agile organization.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex enterprise-level solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Agile best practices.
  • Experience with product documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to translate business objectives into clearly defined Epics, Features, and Stories.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Experience with building proof of concepts and presenting ideas to stakeholders.
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain Public Trust 6C.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in government, federal, or large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Prior experience with modernizing legacy systems using Agile framework.
  • Deep knowledge of Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) and Agile budgeting.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based architectures and DevSecOps practices.
  • Prior experience partnering with Program management towards large company goals.
  • Track record of translating complex business rules, policy requirements, or regulatory constraints into usable digital workflows and intuitive product experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business objectives and federal program goals.
  • Lead feature prioritization and backlog refinement, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, customers, and Agile teams to translate high-level requirements into actionable features and stories.
  • Own and manage the product backlogs, ensuring prioritization based on business value, compliance requirements, and customer needs.
  • Facilitate and actively contribute to product planning, providing clear direction on product goals and priorities.
  • Continuously engage with stakeholders, customers, and end-users to validate product solutions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Monitor product performance using data-driven metrics, adjusting strategy to optimize value delivery.
  • Promote Lean Agile principles and best practices across teams, driving Agile maturity within the organization.
  • Identify risks and dependencies early, proactively addressing blockers to ensure seamless product execution.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration, facilitating communication across engineering, compliance, security, and business units.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Jira, ensuring efficient backlog management, sprint planning, and driving delivery execution.
  • Create well organized documentation of product and user journey for stakeholders and iterate as the product changes.
  • Take on strategic initiatives to drive value and make organizational improvements.
  • Cultivate strong client relationships to ensure project success and identify new opportunities.
  • Perform user and market research to inform product vision, mission, objectives, and features.
