About The Position

Akkio is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join their fast-growing team. This role is at the intersection of AI technology and media agency transformation, working directly with industry leaders to reshape agency operations in the AI era. The Product Manager will collaborate with engineering and design teams, and also work directly with customers to understand their workflows. The role involves building on Akkio's vision for AI in agency operations, taking products from concept to market adoption, leading brainstorming sessions, demoing capabilities, and guiding product development with strategic insight and hands-on execution. This position is for individuals who thrive on ownership, can drive partially-shaped problems to well-defined product directions, and ship great products without waiting for certainty. The Product Manager's judgment will directly shape Akkio's future product development.

Requirements

  • Proven product leadership: a track record of shipping impressive software products, with roles of increasing responsibility.
  • Deeply integrated AI into your daily workflow; use it for research synthesis, analysis, drafting, and prototyping, and can build a working demo with agentic coding tools without waiting on an engineer.
  • Thrive on ownership: repeatedly taken loosely defined or shifting priorities and delivered great products anyway, filling gaps with judgment rather than waiting for direction.
  • Technical foundation: a CS, Engineering, or Design background, and the credibility to lead teams of software engineers and designers in building great products.
  • Strong product instinct: immediately recognize good versus bad product decisions, think fast on your feet, and set direction rather than just relay information.
  • Executive presence: command the room with senior leaders, keeping pace with (and ideally leading) strategic conversations and demos.
  • Willing to spend significant time in NYC working directly with customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Domain expertise: experience in AI startups or AdTech product companies, with knowledge of AI technology or media agency operations strongly preferred.
  • Public artifacts of your AI-native workflow: prototypes you've shipped with agentic coding tools, published MCP servers, or writing about how you work with AI.
  • Hands-on experience shipping LLM-powered products: agent experiences, evals, or AI-native workflow tools.
  • Direct experience with media agency operations, programmatic advertising, or marketing analytics.
  • Previous early-stage startup experience.

Responsibilities

  • Discover and define common workflows and jobs-to-be-done within media agencies, identifying opportunities where AI can create transformational value.
  • Use agentic coding tools to turn ideas into working demos, validating direction with customers and engineering before a line of production code is written.
  • Convert customer insights into clear product requirements and running prototypes for engineering and design teams.
  • Set direction and guide cross-functional teams through the product creation process, course-correcting as solutions come to life.
  • Present and demo solutions to senior agency leaders, gathering feedback and building relationships that inform product strategy.
  • Use product instinct to recognize strong versus weak product directions quickly and set the right course forward.
  • Earn the trust of both world-class engineers internally and C-level stakeholders externally through technical depth and leadership presence.

Benefits

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) plan
  • Generous PTO policy
  • Substantial equity grants
