About The Position

Yubico is seeking an experienced and highly collaborative Senior Product Manager to define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for its distributed Production & Fulfillment Systems. This role is a technical leadership position within the product management team, requiring close collaboration with hardware solutions engineering and production teams to develop enterprise-grade systems for large-scale YubiKey device production. The Senior Product Manager will be the strategic counterpart to the Director of Engineering for Production & Fulfillment Systems, responsible for the 'what' and 'why' of the software used in manufacturing and distributing YubiKey devices globally. Success in this role involves working with product managers, hardware engineering, solutions engineering, global supply chain, and operations teams to translate complex business and technical requirements into an automated production ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of progressively broadening product management experience.
  • Strong track record of shipping complex, enterprise-class hardware & manufacturing solutions.
  • Proven experience in technical product management within hardware production environments, manufacturing environments, or large-scale internal tools.
  • Proven ability to act as a constructive challenger to highly technical engineering partners.
  • Strong business and technical acumen with the confidence to debate architectural tradeoffs.
  • Ability to act as a constructive challenger in deeply technical environments.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across geographically distributed teams.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills to align multi-disciplinary teams toward a unified vision.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working closely with firmware development, embedded systems, and the lifecycle challenges of managing physical hardware manufacturing through systems & software platforms.
  • Understanding of cryptographic systems, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), or Key Management Systems utilizing Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).
  • Solid grasp of industrial and manufacturing automation designs, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), or firmware integration systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to diving deep into technical workflows alongside engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the long-term product vision and roadmap for next-generation production and fulfillment systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
  • Partner with Engineering, Hardware, Supply Chain/Production, and Operations teams to design solutions that enhance automation efficiency and scalability.
  • Translate complex manufacturing workflows, logistics needs, and hardware requirements into product requirement documents (PRDs) and user stories.
  • Act as a strategic unifier in cross-functional technical decisions, synthesizing competing priorities and ensuring trade-offs are documented and optimized.
  • Collaborate with security and engineering teams to ensure software systems integrate with critical cryptographic infrastructure while maintaining security standards.
  • Drive the evaluation and continuous improvement of production processes, adopting industry trends in industrial and manufacturing automation.
  • Act as the primary voice of the fulfillment and production product domain, communicating product strategies and system impacts to diverse stakeholders.
