About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager who will own an entire product area, including outcomes, priorities, strategic direction, and the difficult tradeoffs between competing initiatives. This role requires translating company goals into product strategy and demonstrating a clear understanding of what truly impacts educators. The ideal candidate thrives in a fully remote environment, values clarity and evidence, and leads through influence and strong product judgment. You will work hands-on with engineers, designers, and other PMs to define product direction and ensure all work aligns with a cohesive strategy. As a Senior Product Manager, you will be the single accountable owner for your product area's outcomes, defining success metrics and driving product strategy in partnership with the Product team. You will lead discovery through direct engagement with educators, resolve complex tradeoffs, and define product Epics and User Stories. You will also be responsible for aligning stakeholders, driving experimentation, and tracking performance against defined outcomes.

Requirements

  • Successful track record of at least 5 years of owning a product or product area with measurable outcomes.
  • Strong discovery skills and genuine comfort with engaging users directly.
  • Ability to make and defend product decisions with evidence and judgment rather than consensus.
  • Experience working hands-on across design, engineering, and domain experts.
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity and turn it into clarity.
  • Capacity to hold the big-picture strategy and the epic-and-story-level detail simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading a product area in education, ed-tech, or another mission-driven space where learning impact was the real measure of success.
  • Experience setting strategy across multiple squads or workstreams.
  • Experience partnering closely with curriculum or subject-matter experts.
  • Experience using AI to sharpen discovery and decision-making.
  • Experience building for both individual educators and institutional customers, such as schools and districts.

Responsibilities

  • Own a full product area end-to-end and be the single accountable owner for its outcomes.
  • Align product-area strategy to broader company priorities.
  • Keep the entire product area coherent.
  • Partner across squads to deliver measurable value to art educators.
  • Drive product direction in partnership with the Product team.
  • Define success metrics such as engagement, retention, and learning impact.
  • Influence prioritization calls among competing opportunities.
  • Translate company strategy into a clear product-area strategy, priorities, and success measures.
  • Ensure scoped workstreams ladder up to a single coherent direction.
  • Lead discovery directly through regular educator engagement.
  • Be accountable for the quality and consistency of discovery across every squad in the product area.
  • Make and defend product decisions across related problem spaces, user needs, and investments.
  • Resolve cross-scope conflicts and escalate genuine portfolio-level tradeoffs to Product leadership.
  • Define product-area Epics and work directly with engineering to break them into coherent, incremental slices.
  • Write and refine User Stories with clear acceptance criteria, edge cases, and learning-quality requirements.
  • Bring stakeholders across the organization onto the same priorities and direction.
  • Keep cross-functional alignment strong without drowning the work in coordination overhead.
  • Track performance against defined outcomes.
  • Use data and AI-assisted analysis to evaluate impact.
  • Drive experimentation that compounds into better decisions over time.
