Senior Product Manager
About The Position
A1M Solutions is a woman-owned small business focused on improving government healthcare programs that serve underserved populations. They work on projects with national impact at the intersection of policy, data, and user experience design. A1M also helps teams improve their agile, user-centered design practices. As a Senior Product Manager, you will work with minimal guidance to define a compelling vision, generate a clear strategy, and build an agile roadmap for delivery. You will work in cross-functional, cross-organizational teams, often with policy experts and specialists, and coordinate with technical teams. The role requires strong listening, communication, and prioritization skills, and an enjoyment of building relationships across organizational boundaries. While deep knowledge of policy or healthcare is not required, an appreciation for contributions from other domains is expected. Senior PMs do not have formal people management responsibilities but are expected to have skills in teaching and coaching.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, design, computer science, cognitive science, human-computer interaction (HCI), human factors, or a related field and 8+ years of full-time related professional experience.
- Prior experience working in government (local, state, or federal)
- Familiarity with federal government delivery concerns such as ATO, FedRAMP, and PIAs
- Critical thinking about the product development process
- Delivering on projects from strategy through execution
- Creating deliverables such as product roadmaps, OKRs, and user stories
- Presenting and gathering buy-in on product judgment
- Coordinating work in distributed, agile teams
- Writing and presenting high-level editing and writing with limited supervision
- Familiarity with modern web-based application development processes and tools
- Must have legal authorization to work within the US and not require ongoing visa sponsorship.
- Must be a permanent US resident.
- Must have been residents in the United States for 3 of the past 5 years.
- Active participation in client virtual meetings, including being on camera, is an essential function.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with a social impact-focused product team or in civic tech
- Experience working in government consulting engagements
- Personal experience with government health and human services programs
- Working knowledge of Medicare, the ACA, MACRA, Medicaid, or CHIP
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in providing agile coaching services and wide-ranging curriculum on leadership, technology, and design
- Familiarity with SAFe and flexibility in application of agile methodologies
Responsibilities
- Creates connections across practices and disciplines
- Provides clear and effective product management direction and vision for contract project team
- Helps expand and deepen A1M's product practice
- Provides mentoring and training to help internal A1M co-workers improve their product management skills
- Demonstrates expertise navigating complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Takes the initiative to lead solutions
- Coaches and guides teams using user-centered and agile-based methodologies
- Convenes cross-functional teams to develop the right products/solutions
- Co-creates product vision with product teams and client stakeholders
- Able to differentiate between client requirements and requests in order to deliver on effective product or program strategy
- Excellent oral and writing communication, interpersonal, storytelling, and analytical skills, including the ability to present concepts and complex technical material clearly and persuasively to colleagues, partners, stakeholders, and senior executives.

- Break down strategy and vision into doable chunks
- Plan for compliance processes
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving, and hands-on project organizational skills.

- Skills in communicating back to company leadership on contract status, results, and needs for the contract’s success.
Benefits
- The salary range for this role is $125,000 - $140,000.
