About The Position

The Senior Product Manager is responsible for creating excellent experiences for buyers and helping evolve Ritchie Bros. into the default place for customers to purchase commercial equipment and services. Working with product, engineering, design, and research teams, this role builds and shapes experiences for millions of RB customers. The position conducts research and applies industry-leading practices and innovation to improve the buyer experience, drive growth, strengthen customer connection, and support company goals.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience leading business-critical product initiatives.
• Demonstrated commitment to building great user experiences and an eye for detail.
• Ability to think both broadly and incrementally, translating a large vision into features and prototypes; comfortable working with paper prototypes as well as scalable features.
• Ability to communicate product decisions and their rationale in writing and in person, and to influence others to get things done.
• Experience using qualitative and quantitative customer data to inform decisions, with the ability to think creatively and analytically.

Responsibilities

• Own an area of the buyer experience end to end, including writing the story, driving cross-functional execution, making product decisions, and sharing insights and results throughout the company.
• Evaluate market and consumer user-experience research and results, industry trends, and competitor landscapes using customer conversations, data analysis, and metrics.
• Identify the highest-impact work, prioritize it, and deliver measurable improvements.
• Partner with product teams, engineering, design, and other stakeholders to create a high-achieving team.
• Drive crucial product initiatives.
• Articulate complex problems clearly and contribute to team strategy.
• Own problems through to solutions across teams, peers, partners, and leadership.
• Ensure the product team is aligned and engaged.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
