About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead a team in developing solutions for our federal clients at Coforma. Coforma is seeking a Senior Product Manager who is comfortable working across policy, technology, and human-centered design. Product Managers at Coforma are the primary point of contact for business stakeholders and are responsible for driving a shared vision both within the team and across partners. They collaborate with partners in research, design, engineering, project management, and account management to deliver value to both the user and the business. In this role, you’ll own the product lifecycle from discovery to deployment. You’ll be a key voice on the project team, turning high-level objectives into a roadmap that balances compliance with a seamless user experience. This is a remote-first position. The ideal candidate has at least five (5) years of experience in digital product management in a cross-functional, agile environment. This is a customer-facing role that requires excellent communication, leadership, and technical product skills, as you will be translating the needs of users and the business into digital product features. To be successful in this role, you must have a consulting mindset, a strong understanding of user-centered prioritization, and the ability to build trust with a wide variety of stakeholders across the organization. Requirements

  • A minimum of (five) 5 years of experience as a digital Product Manager specifically leading product and/or platform modernization efforts or large-scale digital transformations
  • Prior experience working within agile environments defining product features, priorities, and facilitating backlog refinement
  • Strong grasp of granular technical details such as APIs, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge of iterative delivery in highly regulated, multi-vendor environments
  • Ability to communicate with and influence both technical teams and non-technical policy stakeholders
  • Full-time resident of the contiguous United States (must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without sponsorship)
  • Ability to pass a Public Trust background check (additional security clearance may be required based on project needs)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a client-facing consulting or government contracting role
  • Experience working in federal domains, healthcare products, or large-scale government systems
  • Experience leading multiple teams within SAFe or similar frameworks
  • Experience leveraging AI in your own work as well as integrating AI/ML capabilities into the digital products you own
  • Knowledge and understanding of WCAG 2.1 and Section 508 standards and requirements
  • Prior people management experience as a peer team leader or mentor

Responsibilities

  • Lead the product vision and long-term roadmap for a large-scale federal system modernization, transitioning legacy platforms to secure, user-centered digital solutions.
  • Build consensus across multiple federal agency departments and subcontracting partners, balancing competing priorities and ensuring shared ownership of product decisions.
  • Present progress, metrics, and roadmaps to senior leadership, ensuring transparency and data-driven decision-making.
  • Prioritize features based on a mix of regulatory requirements, user research, and technical feasibility within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Oversee a cross-functional Scrum team (human-centered design, engineering, quality assurance), leading planning and synchronization ceremonies to ensure efficient and successful delivery.
  • Manage the backlog by writing user stories, clarifying complex business rules, and defining acceptance criteria, testing functionality, and shaping product decisions alongside the team.
  • Partner with Engineering team members to embed security, accessibility (Section 508), and automation into the product.
  • Support Coforma’s expansion with hiring new talent, peer coaching, and leading practice-wide improvements within the Product Management department.
  • Advance Coforma’s Product practice through active collaboration with the Growth team, contributing to proposals and uncovering and pursuing new business opportunities.

Benefits

  • $150,235 to $169,146 Annual Salary + Benefits + Growth Potential
  • Placement within this range will be based on the competency level of the candidate. An offer will be made at one of the following tiers: Tier 1 — $150,235: Meets stated qualification and experience requirements. May need guidance and training beyond onboarding to perform the more complex functions of the role. Tier 2 — $159,691: Experienced and fully competent. Will be able to independently perform key responsibilities of the role once onboarding is completed. Tier 3 — $169,146: Highly experienced and can perform all responsibilities of the role at a higher level than expected once onboarding is completed.
