About The Position

The Worldwide Grocery Stores (WWGS) Under the Roof (UTR) Product team is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join their team. This team designs and builds tools that enable seamless in-store operations and exceptional customer service. The role will own a core UTR product, developing its vision and collaborating with partners for implementation. The team acts as the voice of the customer and associate, advocating for a bar-raising customer experience through improved product experiences. A successful candidate will think big by defining long-term vision, dive deep into customer and associate pain-points, and deliver results by building and executing a roadmap of features in partnership with Tech, Program, and Operations Teams. The Senior Product Manager will work across leadership and cross-functional teams to define the vision and execution strategy for their product, impacting stakeholders across all WWGS banners. The role emphasizes scalability, efficiency, and operational excellence. The candidate will deep dive into shopper dynamics and the tech launch life-cycle to drive improvements for a best-in-class in-store customer experience. They will define metrics, set goals, and report on progress, owning the business roadmap and product direction for WWGS. This role offers a significant impact in the physical retail sector across various formats. It requires a high degree of customer obsession, attention to detail, and a drive for quality in product launches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
  • Experience as a product manager or owner
  • 2+ years of retail, grocery, or customer-facing, or 5+ years of retail or operations experience
  • Experience owning and launching Associate/Employee-facing tools, features, enhancements, etc.
  • Strong customer experience intuition, business and product sense combined with solid understanding of technical concepts.
  • Ability to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.
  • High judgment, ability to influence, analytical talent, exceptional communications, and leadership are essential.
  • Previous experience working with point of sale systems and/or payments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and maintain Food Production products across the WWGS network.
  • Identify and implement product improvements and opportunities for innovation and simplification.
  • Act as the ‘business owner’, possessing a complete understanding of internal and external variables that impact our business.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal and external teams, while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed goals.
