About The Position

The Trust Experience Product Management team’s mission is to provide transparent, seamless and deeply human experiences for buyers and sellers during enforcement. As Senior Product Manager for Trust Experience you will: Be responsible for defining a clear vision for your product area, outlining business and customer outcomes that balance enforcement with user remediation and transparency Identify new product opportunities to help seller anticipate consequential Etsy enforcement actions, under the reasoning behind them and navigate a clear path before their business is disrupted Navigate complex trust scenarios independently and craft plans of bets aligned with team and company goals, while making trade-off decisions that account for speed and quality. This is a full-time position reporting to the Group Product Manager, Trust Experience. For this role, we are considering candidates based in the United States. Candidates living within commutable distance of Etsy’s Brooklyn Office Hub may be the first to be considered. For candidates within commutable distance, Etsy requires in-office attendance once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. Trust and Safety and Risk and Fraud are constantly evolving environments where we proactively detect fraudsters and listing abuse. The Trust Experience Initiative provides the crucial balance to detection systems, ensuring our members have fair treatment, an opportunity to learn from their mistakes, clear paths to appeal and control over their data, all while ensuring Etsy meets regulatory requirements. This Enforcement Experience team partners closely with other Product teams, Legal, Research, Design, Analytics and Operations partners to build experiences that ensure sellers can grow on Etsy while remaining compliant with our policies. This team works closely with the Detection and Enforcement Initiative and Customer Support Initiative, Engineering, Ops, Analyst and Design teams. This team is located in the US, with partner teams also located in Dublin and Mexico. Own direction and outcomes by setting product vision, strategy and success criteria grounded in customer and business value. Drive focus through evidence by prioritizing problems and opportunities based on potential impact, learning and strategic alignment. Lead discovery by defining hypotheses, learning plans and decision points in partnership with cross-functional peers (including engineering, operations, design, and analytics and Legal). Requirements

  • Proven track record of setting a product strategy that solves customer problems.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience using qualitative insights and data to make product decisions.
