About The Position

The AI Decisioning Foundation program enables intelligent decision-based products through streaming analytics with the ability to govern these decisions and manage their outcomes with business agility. This program leverages business rules & AI engines, a streaming big data cluster, an in-memory data grids, APIs, & UIs to deliver real-time decisions at global scale. This role is for a product leader with technical skills who wants to shape the future of industry-leading services, platforms and products. The Senior Product Manager - Technical will provide detailed technical analysis of product or application hardware and software to ensure that business and functional requirements can be met. They will perform analysis of system requirements, elaborate into features and acceptance criteria in an Agile methodology format. They must possess the aptitude to quickly learn and contribute to our complex platform. They will have proven expertise and experience to flesh out customer needs and business concepts, bring thought leadership and provide clarity of thought, define product & customer metrics and KPI. They will facilitate scoping sessions and lead review sessions of technical requirements/stories. They should have a hunger for Systems and Technical knowledge – constantly analyzing and innovating new, better approaches to our systems. They will have the ability to design features through prototypes and experiments, decompose requirements into user stories, prioritize the backlog, and work with the engineering teams to ensure implementation of high-quality products to your customer. They will identify gaps in requirements and dependencies between teams, understand technical implications and impacts of requirement requests, facilitate technical requirement reviews and joint application design sessions. They will collaborate with software engineers (developers) to promote user story comprehension, collaborate with quality engineers to ensure expected results, and collaborate with stakeholders and product partners.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other Product Managers, development teams and the Core Product business teams
  • Strong technical analysis skills to drive complex application designs and documentation (Functional \ Technical \ Interface Specifications)
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Display high degree of initiative & self-motivation with a willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities
  • High energy, detail-oriented and proactive with the ability to function under pressure in an independent environment

Responsibilities

  • Owns the working backwards document and vision for feature releases
  • Identifies gaps and charters new platform capabilities as required
  • Makes use of research, user studies, metrics and competitive analysis to understand the platform and business needs for a platform product
  • Compares features for competitive review to inform prioritization within a platform product release
  • Identifies innovations or performs test and learn experiments to create features that add more business and customer value for a platform product
  • Participates with the business in customer research to inform platform product feature needs
  • Contributes near-term input (quarterly) for the platform product portfolio and roadmap
  • Makes trade-off decisions on platform product features
  • Uses runtime metrics of their services in market as a feedback loop in to the backlog and balances the priorities against new feature requests
  • Exhibits expertise within platform feature area and coordinates with interdependent teams
  • Digests business customer requirements (use cases) and platform requirements for a platform feature set
  • Determines release goals for the platform and prioritizes assigned features according to business and platform value, adjusting throughout implementation as needed
  • Continuously monitors feature development at the feature level
  • Reviews product demo with the development team against acceptance criteria for the feature set
  • Stays aligned with GTM plans for the feature set
  • Supports and participates in post-launch reviews and ensures feedback is reincorporated into the feature
  • Works with internal teams and customer service to identify, classify, and prioritize feature-level customer issues
  • Develops and implements new metrics into measurement techniques; works with development teams to develop reports to monitor them
  • Independently identifies and researches anomalous performance; escalates findings to senior management
  • Coordinates internal forums to collect and identify feature-level development opportunities
  • Owns and manages product documentation; enables self-service support and/or works to reduce overhead
  • Identifies feature risks from business and customer feedback and in-depth analysis of operational performance; shares with senior leadership
  • Establishes a network within the organization; begins to build internal and external networks
