Senior Product Manager, Order Management Systems

ACVToronto, ON
CA$122,000 - CA$153,000

About The Position

ACV is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead their Order Management Systems (OMS) platform. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate and reliable flow of orders from capture through financial settlement. The Product Manager will also be responsible for powering internal tools and event streams that support the rest of the business. The position sits at the intersection of order lifecycle and transactional flows, financial systems and ERP integration (specifically NetSuite settlement and accounting), internal operations tooling, and event-driven orchestration. The Product Manager will drive the order-to-settlement layer as a product line, setting the strategy for order checkout and settlement. This role directly impacts revenue recognition accuracy, operational throughput, and organizational confidence in data across the platform. The core responsibility is building a reliable transactional backbone by ensuring the platform has the most accurate, timely, and trustworthy order and financial data. The team will build customer-facing experiences and internal management layers, but the Product Manager's scope includes the integrity, completeness, and timeliness of the underlying order management and settlement layer. This includes how orders are captured, aggregated into NetSuite for settlement and accounting, orchestrated across internal ops tools, and broadcast as events to downstream consumers. By improving reliability, reducing reconciliation gaps, and providing dependable event streams, the role enables faster, more accurate decision-making across the organization.

Requirements

  • 6+ years Product Management experience, ideally including time on a platform, financial systems, or order management product area.
  • Demonstrated ownership of a product line or multiteam domain, where you set the strategy that other teams executed against.
  • Evidence of org-level influence: lead a 0-to-1 or a major platform re-architecture at scale.
  • Experience owning order management, financial settlement, or transactional platform product areas, including ERP integration (NetSuite a strong plus), event-driven architectures, and internal operations tooling.
  • Strong understanding of transactional system hygiene, including idempotency, reconciliation, event delivery semantics (at-least-once vs. exactly-once), data lineage, and the processes required to maintain trusted, auditable financial and operational data flows.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying and implementing automation or system improvements that reduce manual ops effort, accelerate financial close, or improve event reliability for downstream consumers.
  • Proven track record of leading the end-to-end delivery of complex, technical platform products, from ideation through to launch and iteration, consistently driving measurable business impact for internal customers (Finance, Ops, downstream product teams).
  • Ability to drive product strategy by translating complex transactional and financial flows into actionable insights, which requires a strong quantitative toolkit including hands-on proficiency in SQL, structured rollout and validation design, and a deep understanding of platform metrics architecture (throughput, latency, error rates, reconciliation accuracy).
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering teams and with non-engineering internal customers such as Finance and Operations.
  • Agile experience and release planning prioritization skills.
  • Presentation skills - Ability to simplify complex transactional systems and financial flows for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven mentorship of other PMs, including setting product craft standards; formal or dotted-line people leadership a strong plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, or similar).

Nice To Haves

  • Auto-tech industry experience is a plus.
  • NetSuite integration experience is a strong plus.
  • Advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Formal or dotted-line people leadership is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own the OMS platform end to end, including the financial aggregation layer feeding NetSuite settlement and accounting, the internal order management tools used by ops teammates, and the event producers that notify downstream teams of completed transactions and orders.
  • Lead as the connective tissue between Engineering, Finance, Internal Operations, and the downstream product teams that consume order and transaction events.
  • Partner with engineering and Finance to define settlement, reconciliation, and revenue recognition flows that are accurate, auditable, and aligned to financial close timing requirements.
  • Partner with engineering to define event schemas, delivery guarantees, and integration contracts that upstream and downstream teams can depend on.
  • Define and own platform SLAs for order throughput, event delivery latency, settlement accuracy, and reconciliation completeness, holding the team accountable.
  • Employ a hypothesis-driven approach to internal ops tooling investments, converting ambiguity and assumptions into a clear framework for validation via structured rollouts, ops user feedback, and operational metrics.
  • Ensure data quality and reliability across the transactional layer, including idempotency, reconciliation, event replay, and recovery from upstream or downstream failure.
  • Translate complex transactional flows spanning order capture, settlement, and event distribution into actionable insights that drive product prioritization and unblock internal customers.
  • Improve operational throughput and reduce manual work for ops teammates by identifying high-leverage workflow improvements in the OMS surface and prioritizing them against platform and integration investments.
  • Guide product strategy by evaluating and clearly communicating critical trade-offs between system complexity, time-to-market, and operational or financial risk.
  • Set and defend the 6–12 month roadmap across Order Management, ERP/Settlement integration, and Event Orchestration.
  • Act as the domain authority for order-to-settlement across teams, making architecture and sequencing calls that set precedent for OMS and the squads that consume its events.
  • Articulate and advocate for platform strategy, roadmap, and business outcomes to executive leadership to secure buy-in and alignment.
