Join us and build for travelers everywhere. Introduction to the team: The Product Team creates high-quality end-to-end experiences for travelers, partners, and Expedia Group. Our focus on customer-centric innovation enables us to develop products that build loyalty and repeat business. We partner closely with teams across Expedia Group to drive growth and achieve results for our customers and the company. Join Expedia Group as a Senior Product Manager for Brand Expedia (BEX), one of the most trusted names in global travel. In this role, you will own a meaningful slice of BEX's lodging customer experience — from how travelers discover the right place to stay, to how they book with confidence, to how they arrive without surprises. You will design and deliver experiences for families, our highest-value traveler segment, with the goal of making Expedia feel less like a catalog and more like a trusted guide. This is a high-ownership role in a matrixed org. You'll work through platform and experience teams you don't directly manage, which means your ability to define a sharp customer problem, align stakeholders, and drive execution through influence is as important as your product instincts.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience in B2C product management with a bachelor's degree, 6+ years with a master's, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience owning consumer-facing product areas across their full lifecycle — from customer discovery through scaled rollout — with measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong customer intuition: able to get beneath surface metrics to understand the actual traveler problem, and translate that into product decisions with conviction.
  • Proven experimentation mindset: able to design tests, define guardrails, interpret A/B results including inconclusive ones, and make data-informed decisions without waiting for perfect information.
  • Track record of shipping work through cross-functional teams you don't directly manage — platform, design, analytics, and engineering partners.
  • A strong UX partnership instinct — you've worked closely with design to craft end-to-end experiences that feel coherent, not just optimized by surface — and you can speak credibly to interaction and information design decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in online travel, lodging, or a comparable consumer marketplace where price transparency, booking confidence, and trust are central customer challenges.
  • Deep familiarity with consumer shopping and booking surfaces: search results, detail pages, booking flows, and the moments that make or break a customer's confidence to complete a transaction.
  • Familiarity with personalization, recommendation systems, or AI-powered search features — with a clear view of how to bring these capabilities to life for customers in ways that feel helpful, not gimmicky.
  • Comfort in a matrixed, platform-dependent org: able to scope against shared roadmaps, surface dependency risks early, and keep delivery moving without direct engineering ownership.
  • Strong written communicator — able to produce clear PRDs, crisp exec-facing narratives, and sharp decision documents that move stakeholders forward.

Responsibilities

  • Shape how millions of travelers experience finding and booking a stay on Expedia — from first search to front door — ensuring every touchpoint feels designed for them, not just functional.
  • Develop deep empathy for specific segments of travelers: understand how they search, what makes them anxious, where they abandon, and what builds the trust that earns a booking. Use customer advocacy data, user research, competitive intel, and behavioral data to stay close to the customer, not just the metrics.
  • Translate customer insight into a clear, opinionated product roadmap — balancing fast wins that reduce friction now with longer-horizon bets on differentiated experiences families can't get elsewhere.
  • Partner closely with Experience Design to craft end-to-end experiences that are coherent across surfaces — search, property detail, checkout, and post-booking — rather than optimizing surfaces in isolation.
  • Drive a rigorous experimentation program: write sharp hypotheses grounded in customer problems, define success metrics that reflect real traveler value, and make confident ship/iterate/stop calls — including when data is messy or inconclusive.
  • Operate effectively across a platform-dependent org: scope work against shared platform capabilities, manage cross-functional dependencies, and communicate trade-offs clearly to engineering, analytics, and senior stakeholders.
  • Bring AI/ML thinking to consumer experience problems — whether that's smarter discovery, more relevant content, or personalization that adapts to traveler context — in ways that are safe, measurable, and meaningful to the customer.
